Student Feedback

Marlborough Girls' College, Blenheim

I enjoyed camp a lot. It was a great experience. I enjoyed mountainbiking and falling into little creeks and I really liked the pamper pole. Going up blindfolded was fun and scary. But the best bit was the tramp, although we walked for ages. It was very cool. Jasmine Tautari

Camp was an amazing experience! It really helped me with my fear of heights and to trust other people. It was a laugh with the mountainbiking with Kerry. A great opportunity to take! Bree Freeman

I thought it was so fun because it challenged me, gave me new experiences and I made heaps of new friends. Even though the overnighter was hard, I still loved it. If I was able to go again, I would go in a heart beat! Aggie Tyson

I really enjoyed camp because of the activities that we did. My favourite ones were the Flying Kiwi and the Pamper Pole. Brianna Williams

Camp was a great experience and a chance to meet new people. I enjoyed mountainbiking the best. I loved camp. Natasha Turner

I really enjoyed camp because everyday I was faced with a new challenge and pushed out of my comfort zone. My favourite thing was the Flying Kiwi. Kerryn Rhodes

Camp was AWESOME! I would do it again if I had the chance. Amelia Greenslade

Camp was mean. I was not very excited about it - was not going to go! So glad I did. Mountainbiking was the best, even if you fell off. Hannah Newman

Camp was such a good experience. I enjoyed all of it and I had so much fun. Gemma Kerrigan

I remember the Flying Kiwi the most. We had lots of guys in our group so when you got pulled up you literally flew. Being in Year 13 now I envy the Year 9s when they go on camp as that was the greatest school camp I've been on. Katrina Tutton, Year 13

I really enjoyed it especially the overnight tramp with Mr Wright and the rafting. Overall I achieved a lot and had a really good time. Lucy Ingham, Year 9

Rotoiti camp was great fun. We had many awesome activities planned, like the overnight tramp. It was a challenge, but well worth it because you got to bond with your classmates in a different way than you would at school. It was nice how my special diet was catered especially for me. Even though it happened two years ago, I remember it very well as it was a great experience. Lorna Stephens, Year 11

I really enjoyed the activities that we did and I learned lots. One of my favourite things that we did was the white-water rafting. I really liked it when we got drenced in water. Lachie Winter, Year 9

Rotoiti camp was lots of fun. I went rafting and I had the time of my life. It wouldn't have been something I ever dreamed of doing. The overnight camp was challenging but I felt really good once I'd finished it. The possums were kind of scary though. I got to spend time with students that I wouldn't have talked to at school which was cool. There was great weather, great scenery and lots of fun. Yvette Jones, Year 11
